Pushing the boundaries of direct push technology often reveals the limits of our injection tooling. This reality became clear at one of the injection points during a deep RegenOx injection project we’re currently working on in Los Angeles. Partnering with Veteran Drilling, they are setting our injection tools with their advanced CPT Truck rig equipped with a mounted direct push hammer.
At first, we were discouraged to discover that the tooling had failed under the strain. However, successfully deploying the fishing tool and locking it into place gave us a brief sense of relief.
The condition of the recovered tooling served as a stark reminder of the challenges that come with pushing deep into hard geology.
