The Legacy team recently completed a direct push application of 3D Micro Emulsion and S-Micro ZVI at an active Dry Cleaner in Los Angeles County.
Both the 3D Micro Emulsion and S-Micro ZVI were provided by Regenesis.
Due to limited onsite space, we managed the reagent inventory and delivered daily amounts as needed in our support truck.
We positioned our Injection Trailer and Support Truck in the corner of the property to minimize impact to current operations.
Since our Direct Push Rig was transported within our Injection Trailer, that helped reduce our overall onsite footprint.
Our Direct Push Injection Tooling was advanced using a Geoprobe 7822 Direct Push Rig.
We targeted 4-foot long treatment intervals between 64 to 80 feet.
The injection volume per interval gave us time to simultaneously inject into 2 points at a time.
We mixed the 3DMe and S-MZVI mixture in alternating batches within our dual 150 gallon stainless steel mix tanks.
Additionally, we bioaugmented each 4-foot long treatment interval with BDI-Plus microbial consortium, also provided by Regenesis.
We prepared anaerobic flush and chase water for the BDI-Plus injection using Sodium Ascorbate.
Our Mix Water consisted of both extracted Groundwater from an existing monitoring Well, and potable water from an onsite hose spigot.
It is all smiles from Marco as we have another safe and successful project in the books.
